From Founder
Many people ask me why Yara's slogan is 'Rooted in Heritage, Stitched for Life'. Look at this piece of clothing—its stitches hold the craftsmanship of grandmothers from Punjab, yet its cut allows you to chase a bus, pick up the kids, or attend a Zoom meeting in it. We don't want tradition to become a specimen in a museum, nor do we want trends to turn into a burden that's worn once and then discarded. Every stitch of Yara is meant to let India's beauty not only live in your daily life but also walk with you for a long way.

Our Story

In 2019, ADFLEX YARA CIRCLE PRIVATE LIMITED quietly launched from a small apartment in Delhi. Initially, Anjali tested the waters with 5 modified kurtas. These designs, which retained the bandhani tie-dye technique yet featured shortened hems, immediately caught the attention of young women. One customer wrote in a review: "The first time I wore Yara to teach at the university, my students said, 'Professor, your kurti is both elegant and cool.'" That comment became the first ray of light guiding Yara forward.

In 2020, we launched the "Desi Modern" collection, incorporating Gujarat's mirror work into minimalist dresses, breathing new life into traditional craftsmanship through modern tailoring. That year, orders surpassed 100,000. By 2022, the team had grown from 4 to 30 members, with a supply chain hub established in Mumbai. We partnered with artisans from 20 villages, enabling more traditional skills to reach a broader market through Yara. In 2023, we introduced COD (Cash on Delivery) services, covering over 500 cities in India, making it easy for girls in remote areas to purchase their favorite clothing. In 2024, Yara's first pop-up store opened in Bangalore, where the display area featuring sari and jeans combinations became a hotspot for young people to take photos.

From Anjali's first hand-drawn design to now, with a Yara garment being signed for every 3 seconds, we always remember our founder's words: "Yara doesn't just sell clothes; it's about letting every Indian woman proudly say—this is me, this is my culture." In the future, we will continue to move between ancient workshops and bustling cities, stitching more of India's beauty into the every stitch and thread of daily life.
